The Legacy of Truth and Equality
The Saint of Satnam, who illuminated the path of equality in the darkness of caste discrimination.
Born on December 18, 1756, in the village of Girodpuri (Chhattisgarh), Guru Ghasidas was the son of Mahngu Das and Amrotin Mata. Growing up in a society riddled with caste-based oppression, he felt the pain of the marginalized deeply.
His spiritual journey led him to the forests of Sonakhan, where he meditated for six months under a Tendu tree. It was there that he attained enlightenment and formulated the principles of Satnam Panth.
He traveled extensively, preaching that God is formless and resides within every being as "Satnam" (The True Name). He challenged the rigid caste hierarchy, declaring that all humans are created equal.
The core principles of Satnam Panth for a righteous life.
